[title of post]

I win the all time nerd award.

As of today I have braces...again.

Well not REALLY braces, more like two brackets and a rubber band but STILL!!

I went to the orthodontist expecting to be told how beautiful my teeth were but what happened instead went something like this:
"Good job with wearing your retainer, your top teeth look great! BUT this bottom one is a little crooked."
(sidenote-I have a permanent bottom retainer...it's a wire cemented to my teeth)
"I think we'll out some brackets on to fix that one tooth. Is that okay?"
[me]"Sure..."

So since my orthodontist is kinda a perfectionist I have more braces...

Now onto the nerd award!
So now at night I wear glasses, have a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth, put in a retainer on my top teeth, AND have braces that I have to change the rubber band on.

:/ hmrph.

I ♥ HP

I saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 at midnight and it was EXCELLENT!!!

All the people were so into it and just looking around you could see that everyone had really grown up with Harry, Hermione, and Ron.

It was just unbelievable.
Now for some of my favorite lines that people said throughout the night.

"Silencio! That's not a spell, that's just Spanish."

(After some preview for a movie with Taylor Lautner in it [that was much laughed at]) "Where's Robert Pattinson?!" (sarcastically)

(After the Dolby sound thing) "Dobby?!"
"He's DEAD!!"
"Oh, too soon?"

So those were just some of my favorite snippets.
I'm not gonna give away anything in the movie but if you haven't seen it get up right now and go. I don't care what time it is, you need to go see it NOW!!!

Also I just discovered the song Wizard Love by Meekakitty featuring HeyHiHello.
It's amazing.

And I like these faces from said video.

They are excellent aren't they!

Just thinking about Mulan

A while back I was watching a video on YouTube of I'll Make a Man Out of You from Mulan and someone had commented something along the lines of, "Shang is totally checking Ping out! Blahblahblah."

Yeah, I can see their point but when I really ponder it I think Shang's thinking is probably more along the lines of "Damn, I'm good! This soldier couldn't even carry a bucket before and now he's beating me up!!"

So take it or leave it....I just thought it.

Book Reviews

Book reviewing while listening to Lelia Broussard!

The Year of Secret Assignments
By: Jaclyn Moriarty
Number of times read: 3
Rate: 2 thumbs up or 5 gold stars
Review: The Year of Secret Assignments is an extremely lovely tale of a pen-pal program between two hostile, Australian schools. First they are Australian and second there are cute boys. Anyway the story revolves around three girls who are bestfriends and their pen-friends. There is the chocolate and horse loving Emily who is writing to Charlie who is always in the principal's office. The somewhat criminal Lydia who writes to Sebastian who loves soccer and art. And Cassie who is writing the mysterious and psychopathic Matthew Dunlop. The story goes through their letters showing us their lives and struggles through them. Secret assignments keep popping up along the way bringing the friends closer together, breaking them apart, and in the end solving a crime (kinda)! I'd reccomend this to about anyone...mother, sister, third cousin twice removed! It's overall just a very enjoyable read.

Goddess Games
By: Niki Burnham
Number of times read: 1
Rate: One thumb on it's side or 1 1/2 to 2 silver stars
Review: This book started with the crazy religious girl who just got into religion recently after previously being a party girl, then we meet (my favorite character) the runner girl from Kansas, and finally the Hollywood brat. All three girls are working at the same mountain resort in Colorado (I think) and are roommates. This book let me down. I read the back and expected it to be wonderful but it turned out pretty annoying and didn't really turn around until the end. Go ahead and read this book but don't expect quite as much out of it...

(I realize that review wasn't helpful...sorry didn't like the book as much.)

So today I realized...

That it had been FOREVER since I'd blogged.
So I decided to tell you about what has been happening.

I don't know why I decided to do this but for the first 3 weeks of June I'm doing basically all my summer activities.
1) I went on a 4-H trip to learn about videography but I had to leave early to do
2) Dance pictures! But as it turns out two of my team mates couldn't be there so I only took two pictures and the rest we took later.
3) A 4-H camp where everyone floated down a river EXCEPT for me because the river was dangerous and my mom wouldn't let me. Turns out that was basically all they were doing at that camp. Anyway I learned how to kill 4 hours at a camp by myself.
4) Dance recital! I had my 10th dance recital and it went EXCEPTIONALLY!!! I did a duo that I choreographed most of and we did an awesome black light dance to Welcome to My Nightmare.
5) Vacation Bible School. I'm helping with this for two days until I leave for
6) County 4-H camp.
Then I will be done with activities for the summer (mostly).

So do you guys have a bunch of summer activities at once or are yours portioned out throughout summer?

Anyway TONY'S TONIGHT!!
I love this show :)

List.

Here are some reasons why by 2:30 in the afternoon on a regular summer day I am inexplicably bored:
1. My friends do not believe in texting back...I guess

2. I didn't find a summer job

3. My friends don't invite me places except for late at night or when I'm busy i.e. babysitting, dancing, or dancing with a baby

4. I'm not usually blogging...I could probably fix that

5. There's nothing good on TV in the afternoon (I mean that got rid of the soaps, who does that?!?)

6. I don't have a book to read

7. I'm too lazy to think of something to do

8. I'm not hungry

So usually I take a walk or listen to music...not bad things to do when you're bored.
It's better than doing drugs, or drinking, or getting pregnant.

I'm really into the song Alabanza from In the Heights right now.
It's one of those songs that makes you cry but is just breathtakingly amazing.
It's one of those songs that makes you want to go onstage and tell a story with music.

On that note...
